Commercial Property Coverage
Commercial Liability Insurance.
Business Owner Policies
Commercial Umbrella
There are many forms of commercial property insurance, which meet a variety of needs.
A few common types of coverage are shown below.
Coverage for buildings
or other permanent structures
- As a building owner, protecting one of your most important assets is of vital importance.
The agents at Hendersons, Inc. are trained to evaluate building costs and provide the proper
coverage and limits.
Contents Coverage
- Depending on the size of your business, determining not only the limits, but the covered
perils to insure against, can be a difficult task. We are trained to accomplish this goal at
the lowest possible cost.
Business Interruption Insurance
- Loss of income and the cost of continuing expenses can create a substantial burden in
the event of a property loss. Business Interruption insurance covers these costs and allows
you to get back to business without additional financial worries.
Inland Marine Coverage
- This coverage insures tools, equipment, and materials away from your business location with a broader
range of covered perils to better protect your property.
Many other options
- Each business is unique and must be carefully reviewed to develop an insurance plan that
best fits your needs. We are able to explain these options and the benefits involved.

Comprehensive General Liability insurance protects your business from the risk of loss arising
out of third party law suits. Most liability policies cover defense costs in addition to
policy limits.
Premises Liability
- As a building owner or tenant, the threat of a lawsuit arising from work performed both on and off your
premises can create substantial uncertainty. Premises liability protects you during the manufacturing process
or while other services are being performed.
Products and Completed Operations
- Coverage can be written separately but is more often packaged with premises coverage.
This coverage option provides long-term protection for services you have performed or goods
manufactured after leaving your premises.
Fire Legal Liability
- This coverage, usually included with the most common liability policies, fills a gap
created by exclusions in the Liability form bringing back coverage for buildings, not owned, but
in the care, custody and control of the insured. This is ideal for tenants who wish to avoid
the risk of suit from a landlord when their operations cause damage to the premises they occupy.
Professional and Errors & Omissions Coverage
- Often excluded from standard liability policies, Professional Liability or, depending on your
type of business, Errors and Omissions Insurance provides protection for the advice or opinion given
by a member of your organization.

Many companies offer a simplified package most commonly called Business Owners Policies or BOP's.
These policies combine both a wide range of property coverage combined with comprehensive general liability
at an affordable price. A large variety of businesses are eligible, from retail stores to auto garages
and other service providers. With many companies to choose from, the agents at Hendersons, Inc. can
provide a wide range of coverage and pricing options.
Commercial umbrella coverage has become more common as the need for higher liability
limits becomes necessary. Coverage can be limited to extending the limits of one policy
or be expanded to provide coverage over a variety of underlying commercial liability policies.
